Crazy for Coconut Water

The first time I tasted coconut my tongue said, "Yech, salty and watery.  This is supposed to be good?!"  Then I don't remember how, but I must've had a few more sips somewhere, because man oh man now I can't get enough of the stuff!  I want to swim naked in a pool of coconut water.  Oh what a beautiful vision, I just thought of that.

I. Can't. Get. Enough.

The blue bin is full of Blue Monkey cans with a smattering of Cocos-Pures (both are comparable in taste, excellent taste I might add).

Ever heard of a coconut water addiction?  I'd love to hear some comments on this.  Is drinking too much CW bad for you?  Other than the carbs are there any problems with this?  As is, CW is super healthy for you, isotonic, a good source of minerals, hydrating.  Am I craving it because it has something I'm missing?  I must be seriously deficient by how much I love this stuff.

From www.bluemonkeydrinks.com the health benefits of coconut water are:
  • Coconut water is a natural isotonic beverage high in natural minerals and electrolytes.
  • Contains potassium and magnesium, making it a great way to naturally hydrate your body.  The electrolyte balance found in coconut water is similar to that found in our blood.
  • Coconut water is characteristically low in fat and calories, has no cholesterol, and has a natural balance of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium- making it a very healthy and naturally fat free beverage. It is also naturally gluten free.
  • Whether drinking coconut water for daily health or consuming after a night on the town, Blue Monkey may help alleviate fatigue. It naturally assists the body in replenishing lost vitamins and minerals. Some folks even say it is a great neutralizer for hangovers.  And others report consuming after yoga or exercise.
